Our theme this month is Winter. As well, we will be focusing on Arctic Animals. More specifically, we will be learning a lot about Walruses and Polar Bears.
This week we started off by reading "An Amazing Snowman" by Barbara Jean Hicks. This story is all about Olaf (from Disney's movie, Frozen) who is a snowman that talks, walks, and dances. He is special because he has a caring heart and endless imagination. Oh, and he LOVES hugs!
Our first directed drawing of the year was Olaf!
We also started talking about Walruses. Of course, we can't miss out on a class photo opportunity! (See our walruses in the window!?)
Stay tuned for our Winter Wonderland Classroom! (We spent some time with our buddies today making paper snowflakes!)
Have a good weekend!
Love,
Division 16
