Gravity Egg Drop

This week we started our Science Unit of Force and Motion. Our home project was to put an uncooked egg in a shoebox, filling it with anything we thought would protect it from breaking when dropping it from the top of our playground.

Where in the World was Flat Stanley and Flat Stella!?

Since the beginning of the year we have read a couple of different Flat Stanley adventures. Flat Stanley is a boy who was flattened by a falling bulletin board in the middle of the night as he was fast asleep. He didn't get hurt and he didn't even know he was flat until his brother Arthur found him in the morning, flat as a pancake!

Inspired by Flat Stanley's adventures, we participated in our first global project of the year. Over our Winter Break, we sent our Flat Stanley and Flat Stella's around the world. Everyone was so excited to send them off. Thank-you to all of the family and friends that participated in this project! We received fantastic photos of our busy Flat Stanley and Flat Stella's! Here is just a small peak of some of the adventures our little flat friends took.
